Job title: CNC Operator

Reports to: CNC Supervisor

Supervisory responsibilities: None. 

Summary/objective: Dienamic Tooling Systems (DTS) is seeking a CNC Operator to join their 2nd shift team! The CNC Operator will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines. The ideal candidate would have general knowledge of the setup and operation of 3-axis vertical mills - preferably Mazak, Johnford, and HAAS.

Candidates with limited CNC experience/knowledge are encouraged to apply! DTS is willing to train as needed. 

*THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION: M-F, 2:30 PM TO 10:30 PM*

Essential functions: 

• Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed. 

• Ability to run your own details. 

• Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required. 

• Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results. 

• Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration. 

• Keep work area clean. 

• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management. 

• Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours. 

• Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required. 

Required competency, education, and experience:  

• Knowledge of set up and operation of CNC equipment
• Knowledge of using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc. 
• Knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds. 

• Candidate must have high school or equivalent education. 

• Candidate must have valid driver’s license 

Preferred education and experience:  

• Experience operating Mazak, HAAS, and/or Johnford mills. 
• Programming experience
• Manual milling experience
• Successful completion of a machine tool program or similar

Work environment: Manufacturing environment 

Physical demands:  

• Candidate must have full use of all limbs. 

• Candidate must be able to read and speak English. 

• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Second Shift, M-F, 2:30 pm to 10:30pm. Some overtime might be required.  

Travel: None.
